Monk Mode is a protocol an individual embarks on when he wishes to become unrecognizable. It involves going ghost for 6 months and coming completely changed. There are 3 non negotiables for Monk Mode-
- Exercise at least 30 minutes a day
- Read at least 10 minutes a day
- No alcohol or weed
Now, I already exercise for an hour and read for 30 minutes. I’ve never tried any narcotics in my life and I never will. However, I did abuse soft drinks so I’ve stopped that. You can also add various elements to your monk mode like me.
I’ve added the following things
- No social media (except linkedin)
- At least 3-4 hours of agency work
- At least 1-2 hours of studies
However, I’d highly suggest not to add more than 3 elements apart from the 3 non negotiables mentioned in the beginning. You can also add meditation but personally for me, I thrive on the chaos. I like speed of implementation and I don’t want to sit still.
If you can’t do 6 months then try 21 days. It will help focus back again. I just remembered an interesting story. Bill Gates and Warren Buffet were invited to a dinner by a mutual. When they were asked to write the single most important factor in their unparalleled success. They both wrote “Focus”.
(I’ll try to share stories like these more because I read a lot about them in books)
Basically, one needs to try to live as monk without distractions or desires. However, I’m not as good as a monk and every true and actual monk has my respect.
My goals at the end of Monk Mode-
- A lean muscular and aesthetic physique
- I want to read 25 books in these 6 months
- No sodas and junk food
- Having a detox from social media
- Getting clients for my CRO agency
- Enriching in my studies once again
Interestingly, this so called monk mode protocol was firstly developed by Iman Gadzi. His story and mine is extremely similar. He also started his entrepreneurial journey at 13, he also started his agency at 16, he also went to the gym consistently since 15, he also used to read a book per week. I see so much of myself in him and his content is really helpful if you’re a beginner.
I also plan to join his online program by the Digital Launchpad. So, I’ll update you guys on it soon.
Remember, your efforts in the gym, business and education (both studies and books) will not go unnoticed. The day I turn 18, I’ll have half a decade of experience in building online businesses. I’ll just know so much of what not to do from my mistakes. Thousands of hours of work will pay off one day.
While the others go out on dates, stay skinny and weak, spend their time talking to girls about their exes in the hope to get her laid someday. Maybe that guy will get what he wants but he’ll still be someone who isn’t on the level of yours in terms of virtue, knowledge, physique, character and soon financially too.
As always, I can see your efforts and I hope you make it brother.
Keep Growing.
